The rules that govern your use of the WondelleTales website and your purchase of personalized digital storybooks.
1. About WondelleTales
WondelleTales is an online service that creates personalized digital storybooks based on information and preferences provided by the customer.
"WondelleTales," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the WondelleTales service and its operation through this website.
These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases and use of the WondelleTales service.
2. Our products
WondelleTales creates personalized digital storybooks based on information submitted during the ordering process.
This may include, depending on the features available at the time of purchase:
- A first name
- Age
- Selected themes
- Language
- Story preferences
- Character preferences
- Other information specifically requested by the service
Depending on the package selected, the product may include:
- Personalized written stories
- Digital illustrations
- Digital storybook files, such as PDF files
- Audio narration or other digital features where included in the selected package
The exact contents of each package are displayed before payment.
WondelleTales products are digital products. No physical product will be shipped unless expressly stated otherwise.
3. Personalized digital content
Each storybook is created specifically for the customer using automated and/or assisted creative-generation systems.
Because the product is personalized and creatively generated, the final result may contain differences in wording, illustration details, character appearance, narration, layout, or storytelling style.
Minor creative differences are an inherent part of a personalized creative product and do not automatically constitute a defect.
We aim to create a coherent and enjoyable storybook based on the information provided, but we cannot guarantee that every generated detail will exactly match a customer's expectations, imagination, or intended result.
The customer is responsible for reviewing the information entered before completing an order.
4. Information submitted by customers
The WondelleTales character-creation process is designed to require only the information reasonably necessary to create the requested storybook.
Customers should provide only the minimum information necessary for the service.
Do not submit unnecessary personal, confidential, sensitive, or identifying information.
In particular, you should not submit:
- A child's full legal name where a first name is sufficient
- Home addresses
- Telephone numbers
- Government identification numbers
- Passwords
- Financial information
- Medical information
- School records
- Precise location information
- Private family information
- Photographs or images where the service does not request or support them
- Audio recordings where the service does not request or support them
- Other sensitive information that is not necessary to create the product
You are responsible for the information and instructions you voluntarily submit through the service and for ensuring that you have the appropriate authority or permission to provide information relating to another person, including a child.
You must not intentionally provide personal information about another person where you do not have the appropriate authorization to do so.
However, nothing in these Terms transfers or removes any legal obligations that WondelleTales may have under applicable privacy or data-protection law.
5. Personal data and third-party AI providers
Some information submitted through WondelleTales may constitute personal data under applicable data-protection laws.
For example, a first name may constitute personal data where it relates to an identified or identifiable individual. Whether particular information constitutes personal data depends on the circumstances and the information available.
To generate personalized stories, illustrations, narration, or other content, WondelleTales may transmit customer-provided information to third-party technology and artificial-intelligence providers.
These third-party providers may process and, depending on their applicable terms, configurations, and data-retention practices, retain information contained in requests submitted to their systems.
By using the personalized-generation service, you acknowledge that information necessary to generate your requested content may be transmitted to such third-party providers.
Because third-party providers may change their processing practices, customers should not submit information that they would not be comfortable having processed by the technology providers used to provide the service.
For this reason, WondelleTales strongly recommends using only a child's first name and the minimum information necessary to create the story.
The applicable Privacy Policy provides additional information about personal-data processing, third-party providers, retention, and applicable data-protection rights.
7. Children and parental responsibility
WondelleTales is intended to be used and purchased by adults, parents, guardians, or other authorized purchasers.
If you submit information relating to a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent, legal guardian, or otherwise authorized to provide that information and purchase the product.
WondelleTales does not knowingly require children to independently purchase products or enter into contracts.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for determining whether the information they submit and the resulting content are appropriate for their child.
8. Artificial intelligence and generated content
Stories, illustrations, narration, and other creative elements may be generated or processed using artificial-intelligence systems and third-party technology providers.
Generated content may occasionally contain:
- Spelling, grammar, or narration errors
- Unexpected creative details
- Inconsistencies in characters, objects, or settings
- Inaccurate or unsuitable details
- Technical defects
- Unexpected interpretations of customer instructions
- Content that does not perfectly reflect the submitted preferences
Where reasonably necessary, WondelleTales may review, modify, regenerate, replace, or remove generated content.
WondelleTales does not guarantee that generated content will be completely error-free, perfectly consistent, factually accurate, or unique in every individual element.
9. Entertainment purpose
WondelleTales products are intended primarily for entertainment, reading, and creative family use.
The products are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, educational, or professional advice.
Any themes involving emotions, learning, confidence, friendship, personal development, or similar subjects are presented for general storytelling and entertainment purposes.
Parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether a particular story is appropriate for their child.
10. Orders and contract formation
An order is placed when you complete the checkout process and your payment is successfully processed.
Before payment, the applicable product, package, price, and other material purchase information will be displayed.
WondelleTales may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- Submitted content violates these Terms
- The order appears fraudulent or abusive
- Payment is declined, reversed, or otherwise unsuccessful
- Technical or pricing errors materially affect the order
- Fulfillment is not reasonably possible
- The requested content cannot reasonably be generated
If an order is cancelled after payment, an appropriate refund will be arranged through the applicable payment process, subject to applicable law.
11. Prices and payment
Prices are displayed before checkout.
Payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for purchases made through the service.
Lemon Squeezy may handle payment processing, billing, receipts, applicable sales taxes or VAT, refunds, and chargeback administration in accordance with its applicable terms and policies.
Your payment statement may therefore display Lemon Squeezy or a payment descriptor associated with Lemon Squeezy.
You are responsible for providing accurate billing and contact information.
Purchases may also be subject to Lemon Squeezy's own Buyer Terms and Conditions.
12. Delivery
WondelleTales products are delivered digitally.
Following successful payment, generation of your personalized storybook will begin.
Your completed personalized digital storybook will be delivered to the email address you provided during checkout within 24 hours of successful payment.
Delivery may include a secure download link, access link, PDF file, audio file, or another digital format depending on the package purchased.
The 24-hour delivery period may occasionally be affected by exceptional technical circumstances, third-party service interruptions, unusually high demand, maintenance, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If you have not received your product within 24 hours, please contact WondelleTales support using the contact method provided on the website. We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, resend the product or provide an alternative delivery method.
You are responsible for providing a valid and accessible email address and for checking spam, junk, promotions, and similar folders.
If you provide an incorrect email address or otherwise prevent successful delivery through circumstances within your control, WondelleTales is not responsible for the resulting delivery failure, subject to your mandatory consumer rights.
13. Personalized digital products and cancellation
Because WondelleTales products are personalized specifically for the customer, generation may begin shortly after successful payment.
Where applicable law permits the statutory withdrawal right for personalized digital content to be excluded or lost, WondelleTales will request the customer's express consent for generation and/or digital delivery to begin immediately and will provide any legally required notice concerning the consequences of that consent.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits a mandatory consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
If generation has not yet begun, you may contact support as soon as possible to request cancellation.
Once generation, processing, or digital delivery has started, cancellation may no longer be possible to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Refunds and defective products
Because WondelleTales products are personalized digital products, a refund may not be available merely because a customer changes their mind after generation has begun, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This does not affect any mandatory statutory consumer rights.
If your product:
- Is not delivered
- Cannot be accessed
- Is materially defective
- Is materially different from the product described at checkout
- Contains a technical problem that prevents reasonable use
please contact support.
Depending on the circumstances, WondelleTales may:
- Correct or regenerate the affected content
- Provide a replacement file
- Provide a new download link
- Provide another reasonable remedy
- Issue a full or partial refund where appropriate or legally required
Please provide your order number and a description of the issue so that the problem can be investigated.
Refunds processed through Lemon Squeezy may be subject to its payment and refund procedures.
15. Acceptable use
You must not use WondelleTales to:
- Create unlawful, abusive, hateful, threatening, defamatory, or exploitative content
- Create sexual content involving minors or exploitative content of any kind
- Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights
- Impersonate another person without authorization
- Submit malware, malicious code, or harmful instructions
- Interfere with the website, payment process, generation systems, or delivery systems
- Attempt to obtain products or refunds through fraud, deception, or abuse
- Use automated systems to overload, scrape, attack, or disrupt the service
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit WondelleTales products without permission
WondelleTales may refuse, cancel, regenerate, remove, or suspend content or orders that it reasonably believes violate these Terms or applicable law.
16. Intellectual property
WondelleTales and its licensors retain all rights in the WondelleTales website, branding, logos, software, templates, design elements, systems, prompts, processes, and other materials used to operate the service, except for content supplied by customers or materials owned by third parties.
After payment in full and subject to compliance with these Terms, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, store, display, and use your completed personalized storybook for private, non-commercial purposes.
You may read the storybook to your family and make reasonable personal backup copies.
Unless expressly permitted by WondelleTales, you may not:
- Sell, sublicense, or commercially distribute the storybook
- Publish the storybook as a commercial product
- Remove ownership notices
- Use WondelleTales branding to imply endorsement
- Use the product to train or develop another commercial AI system
- Resell personalized storybook files or access links
You retain ownership of original information and materials that you lawfully submit.
By submitting information and materials to WondelleTales, you grant WondelleTales the limited rights necessary to process, reproduce, adapt, transmit, and use that material to provide the requested service, maintain and secure the service, prevent abuse, and handle customer-support matters.
17. Third-party services
WondelleTales may rely on third-party providers, including:
- Payment processors
- Merchant-of-record services
- Hosting providers
- Email providers
- Artificial-intelligence providers
- Content-generation providers
- Analytics providers
- Digital-delivery services
These providers may have their own terms, privacy policies, retention periods, security practices, and processing arrangements.
Where necessary to provide the service, information submitted through WondelleTales may be transmitted to these providers.
WondelleTales is not responsible for independent failures, outages, policies, or actions of third-party providers except where applicable law provides otherwise.
18. Service availability
We aim to keep WondelleTales available and functioning, but uninterrupted or completely error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
We may temporarily suspend, modify, or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal, technical, or operational reasons.
We may also update these Terms from time to time.
The version applicable to an order will generally be the version accepted at the time of purchase, unless a later change is required by law or applies to an ongoing relationship.
19. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WondelleTales is provided on an "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that:
- The service will always be available
- Every generated storybook will be completely error-free
- Every generated result will meet subjective expectations
- Every illustration or character will be perfectly consistent
- The service will be compatible with every device or software environment
- Generated content will be suitable for every individual child or family
- Third-party services will remain available without interruption
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of mandatory consumer rights, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
20. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WondelleTales will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages arising from use of the service or product.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WondelleTales' total liability arising from a particular order will not exceed the amount paid for that order.
These limitations do not apply where such limitations are prohibited by applicable law.
21. Customer responsibility and indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to compensate WondelleTales for reasonable losses, claims, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your unlawful use of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your intentional misuse of the service
- Your submission of content or information that infringes another person's rights
This provision does not require you to compensate WondelleTales for losses caused by WondelleTales' own unlawful conduct or liabilities that cannot legally be transferred to you.
22. Complaints and disputes
If you have a concern regarding an order or the service, please contact WondelleTales support first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising any mandatory rights available under applicable consumer-protection law.
Where applicable law permits, these Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable to the operation of WondelleTales, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the laws applicable to their place of residence.
23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
24. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the applicable product description, checkout information, Privacy Policy, and other policies expressly referenced by WondelleTales, constitute the agreement concerning your use of the service and purchase of the relevant product.
